The Warrior Women of 1066
12 June 2025 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm
£1
A talk by Caroline Little from English Heritage.
A fascinating talk covering the powerful women of the period whose stories are not so well known as their male counterparts. Emma of Normandy was wife of King Æthelred the Unready and King Cnut, plus mother of Edward the Confessor – who lived to nearly 70; Judith of Flanders wife of Tostig Goodwinson; Matilda of Flanders, wife of William the Conquer.
