AGM and talk: The Brasseys, Normanhurst and the Victorian Dream

This evening we will hold our AGM.

This will be followed by a presentation on The Brasseys, Normanhurst and the Victorian Dream. Presented by Brian Stockton, the talk will focus on how the Brassey family was product of the extraordinary industrial energy of the Victorian period, how it became established in the local community through the building and occupation of Normanhurst Court and the ultimate demise of this country house and estate, a fate shared by many other houses in the 20^th century.

All welcome!
