This site provides information about the activities of the Ninfield Local History Group. It also presents some of the historical records held by the group and provides accounts of historical events, businesses and people who lived in Ninfield and the surrounding area.


Our Resource Centre

Visit our Resource Centre on Monday mornings. We are open every month* between 10 and 12 in the Sparke Pavilion, Church Lane. You can often view a slide show or exhibition and you can search our archives too.

*Open on the last Monday of each month, 10:00-12:00.

Ninfield Local History Group

The NLHG was formed in April 2012 to inform and document the history of the village. Our aims are to assist with research for our members and help with inquiries from the public about life in Ninfield from the past to the present, and for future generations to use;  but also to enable people to have fun with their history.


Call for historical photographs!

We would be very grateful to receive any interesting local photographs that we that you are happy for us to copy and return to you. They will help expand our archive of photographs which capture local life over the years. Also, if you would like to tell an interesting family story, then please do let us know!
